Have a joyous and blessed summer! READY, SET, GO!! Our beautiful new track is ready for action! At the School Picnic on September 9, our track was blessed by Father Steve and officially unveiled to our school community. We are so proud and grateful for this amazing addition to our campus. We are forever indebted to the many families who contributed, as well as to our main sponsors, the Madeleine Parent Support Association, the Madeleine Ladies Club, San Diego Galvanizing, and Bear Fence. COUNSELING SERVICES

Counseling services at School of the Madeleine will be provided by Ben Fishburne, MFT, who will provide assessments, brief counseling, and will be available to speak with you with any recommendations. All counseling will be conducted on school grounds during Mr. Fishburne's scheduled hours with the school on Mondays. Counseling Referral and Agreement Forms.

Rita McCreary, parish counselor and licensed therapist, will be available to students on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

Counselors can be contacted via the school office.

UNIFORM EXCHANGE PROGRAM

Used school uniforms need a home. All are free! You don't need to bring in an item in order to take one. The uniform exchange is a free service for Madeleine families. If you have any questions, please contact Tina Pernicano-Wurtz. or Jacque Paramo.

MADELEINE MASQUERADE BALL

Our Main Event, Madeleine Masquerade Ball, was a huge success! Thank you to all who participated in this incredibly fun and rewarding evening. Our enduring gratitude goes out to Nazare Judd, Jolene Ferreira, Jeannette Nunes, Evelyn Feliciano, Jessica Rowland and the immense volunteer army who gave so much time and heart to this amazing event!

BOX TOPS FOR EDUCATION PROGRAM

Our second Box Top collection was a huge success! The school collected 7,313 box tops. Thank you for making a difference, one dime at a time! To learn more on how you can help earn cash for our school, click here. Keep collecting!

COLLECTION FOR COMMUNITY CHRISTIAN SERVICE AGENCY (CCSA)

During the month of March, St. Mary Magdalene Parish is asking for donations of powdered milk, boxed cereals, jams and jellies for needy families. We ask that Madeleine families bring donations to the rectory office or to the vestibule of the church between 8 am & 4 pm. You may bring them to the school office as well.

MADELEINE ATHLETIC CLUB

The Madeleine Athletic Club’s Fourteenth Annual Golf Tournament will be Friday, May 3 at Tecolote Golf Course. The Athletic Club maintains the grass field in the back of the main school building and supports Madeleine’s after-school sports program! We thank Sten Johnson, Paul Yahnke, Bill Boggs, Brant Brockett, Jim Muttera, and Tracy Hick for organizing this wonderful event. OFFICE DEPOT 5% BACK TO SCHOOLS

Every time parents shop at Office Depot and provide School of the Madeleine’s identification number, our school will receive 5% of the total purchase price in gift cards. These gift cards can be used by our office to purchase copier paper or other office supplies. If you are planning to purchase back to school supplies this summer or if you own your own business and shop at Office Depot, please consider using Madeleine’s ID number. UNITED WAY

School of the Madeleine is part of the United Way Donation Program. You can designate the school as the benefactor for your donation by listing the school and its address.
